Dr. Douglas D. Bell
       

      Dr. Bell has a Bachelor of Music, Master of Music., and Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of South Carolina.  Additional Studies at California State University-San Bernardino. California Single Subject Credential in Music.  Fifteen years of college teaching experience (as adjunct professor) at the University of South Carolina, Midlands Technical College, Barstow College, Bladen Community College, Cleveland Community College, Beaufort Community Collge and Coker College. Eight years of public school experience.  Worked as a music consultant for Apple Computer, Inc. for their online service eWorld.

      Over twenty published articles in various publications, on the editorial committee of the American String Teachers Association, member of American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and is the recipient of the Stephen B. Dalton Distinguished Teaching Award at the University of South Carolina.  Articles and compositions in Gitarre Und Laute , Guitar Foundation of America, Guitar Review, Flute Music.  Wrote music for educational films in connection with South Carolina Educational Television. Technology expertise:  Beta tester for Apple Computer, Kodak, Intuit, and Coda Music. 

      Created, developed and maintained Classical Music on the Net for Tradewave Inc.  Extensive knowledge of Apple Computers, Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Basic Knowledge of SUSE Linux and beginning knowledge of Sun Solaris.
